Adept Systems is a Kenyan company established in 1994, providing a full range of management consultancy services in the areas of human resources.

Key Responsibilities

Generate leads in the form of RfPs/ToRs, direct client/partner asks, and identified needs through interactions with target clients.

Develop relationships (and support/maintain) with key client categories (development consultants, donors/funders and multi-lateral organizations).

Build inroads into specific target audiences (e.g. risk managers at financial institutions or real estate developers to market specific value opportunities).

Provide feedback on the reception of different offerings and on alternative asks that might have increased traction.

Support the business units in developing and maintaining relevant relationships.

Develop efficient BD capacity for different value offerings.

Develop an overall BD strategy for DR and evolve that over time.

Support the leadership team in optimizing the growth path for the company.

Increase overall visibility in the form of presentation and networking opportunities, memberships, awards, presence in publications, as well as in relevant media.

Ensure key KPIs are reported and monitored against strategy set.

Job Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business or any related field.

Extensive knowledge and 8-12 years’ experience across the business development continuum.

Proven track record of winning demanding proposals with international institutions, donors and stakeholders in the non-profit sector.

Demonstrable ability to seek out business opportunities and drive growth.

Proficiency with data analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.

Proven ability to plan and manage resources.

Ability to drive stakeholder mapping, develop relationships with senior stakeholders, and maintain a network of relationships to promote partnerships goals.

Experience in working with senior management to align strategies and solutions is an added advantage.
