Job Vacancy: Agency Trading Officer

Job Purpose:
To provide a point of contact for all Agents who have a contract with SBGS overseeing their operations whilst ensuring that the interests, corporate brand, goodwill and reputation of the Company are upheld at all times.

To ensure growth in company revenue by providing responsive, pro-active, proficient and efficient services to existing and seeking potential agents in order to grow market share and retain existing business.

To alert Agents to wealth creation opportunities offered by the stock exchange. To develop, maintain and build strong long-standing relationships with existing and potential Agents.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide first line contact for our agents acting as the focal point for all information about the company to the agent and mobilizer of company services.
Regularly abreast agents on investment/divestment opportunities and factors material impacting on the same including market conditions and changes in government regulations.
Comply with Capital Market Authority and NSE regulations and guidelines.
Maintain thorough knowledge of the company’s products and services ensuring that this has been communicated to agents in a timely manner.
Administrative work that involves; providing information to agents on the market, facilitating CDSC account opening for clients and linking to agent, processing received forms and payments, facilitate all issues that appertain to CDSC with the relevant department.
Ensure all clients linked to agents are KYC compliant as it’s a requirement by the company.
Timely linking of clients to respective agents to enable the agents access the clients accounts and do transactions for them.
Always maintain client confidentiality and advice the agents to observe the same.
Prompt response to agents’ enquiries both on email and on phone.
Ensuring clients payments received are processed and dispatched on time.
Receiving of CDS documents and forwarding them to the relevant department and following up to ensure they are processed on time.

Ensuring any rejected document received from CDS are dispatched to the respective agent with clear reasons for rejection and the action the clients need to take to resolve the rejection reasons.
Constant correspondence with agents to ensure the information they pass on the clients is correct and factual.
Ensure all clients linked to agents have signed an indemnity form and it’s well filled as proof of authority to be linked.
Updating of the agents on any new developments within the regulators and other market players including the NSE, CDSC and CMA.
Always ensure honesty is maintained when dealing with agents, clients, and colleagues.
Update agents on the existing company policies and procedures as well as basic introduction to the stock market and how it operates.
Ensure the agents have the required operating materials including KYC forms, CDS books.
Prompt processing of KYC forms forwarded from agents.
Establish and manage relationships with other market players mainly licensed members of the NSE

Skills and Knowledge:
Sound knowledge of the company’s laid-down policies and procedures.
Sound and technical knowledge of operational systems.
Knowledge of the Regulations in force.
Sound and technical knowledge of trading systems in use in SBGS

Qualifications
Above 2 years of operational experience
A Degree holder from a recognized University
SBG 7/8.
2 years of experience in Operations.
