Duties and Responsibilities
An officer at this level will be expected to plan, supervise and coordinate the provision of medical laboratory services at a sub-district hospital laboratory or head a rural health training center laboratory or a section in the division of vector borne diseases; and
The officer will also be expected to ensure the availability of supplies and equipment.
Requirements for Appointments
For appointment to this grade, an Officer must have:-
Served for a minimum period of three (3) years in the grade of Medical Laboratory Technologist II, Job Group CPSB 10/’J’; and
Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences or any other equivalent qualification from an institution recognized by the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board;
Demonstrated outstanding ability in handling medical laboratory services.
