Fenty Beauty Kenya: Through her official social media handles pop star Rihanna has identified eight African countries as the first member nations that are set to premiere her worldwide beauty parlour Fenty beauty in Africa.

Through her official social media account and the official Fenty beauty page she posted:

The wait is finally ova! Africa, we are pulling Up! We’ve been working hard to make this happen! We’ll be available in Nigeria South Africa Kenya Namibia Botswana Ghana Zambia and Zimbabwe local retailers starting may 27 #FentyAfrica

Fenty Beauty, its name comes from Rihanna’s full name, Robyn Rihanna Fenty—launched in 2017 under the umbrella of LVMH’s beauty incubator, Kendo.

The program creates products to be sold in Sephora, the popular cosmetics and perfume retailer also owned by LVMH.

Forbes reported that following 15 months of operation, in 2018, Fenty Beauty accumulated US$570 million in revenue. The entire operation is worth US$2.8 billion, of which 50% belongs to its CEO, Rihanna.

Rihanna, the Barbadian singer-turned-fashion mogul, has announced that her global cosmetics brand ‘Fenty Beauty’ will finally be available in Kenya.

Last year, Forbes magazine declared the 33-year-old pop artist a billionaire, estimating her net worth at $1.7 billion (Ksh.197 billion) at the time, making her the wealthiest female musician and the second-richest woman in entertainment behind Oprah Winfrey.

In a series of social media tweets on Tuesday, Rihanna stated that Kenya will soon get stock of her ‘Fenty Beauty’ and ‘Fenty Skin products.

“This is the moment I’ve been waiting for!!” @fentybeauty and @fentyskin are now available in AFRICA!!! Botswana, Ghana, Kenya, Namibia, Nigeria, South Africa, Zambia, and Zimbabwe…we’re coming for you starting May 27th!!! She wrote, “#FentyAfrica.”

According to Forbes, Fenty Beauty is worth $2.8 billion (approx. Ksh.324 billion).

The makeup firm earned more than $550 million (about Ksh.63 billion) in yearly revenue in 2018, surpassing Kim Kardashian West’s KKW Beauty, Kylie Jenner’s Kylie Cosmetics, and Jessica Alba’s Honest Company.
