President Uhuru Kenyatta yesterday poked holes into the 2022 succession politics. Speaking during the official launching of Kenya Shipyards Limited (KSL), the president seemed to change tune on his choice of a successor in the upcoming general elections.
He appealed to presidential aspirants to hunt votes for them to salvage power and not to just sit and wait for his endorsement.

The president seemed to send a clear message that he is yet to make his decisions regarding the 2022 presidential race.
The president in the recent past had caused a heated debate following a series of incidences in which his speeches appeared inclined to endorsing the former prime minister Raila Odinga. The latest incident was during the Jamhuri Day celebrations at Uhuru Gardens where the president breached the protocol to invite Raila Odinga to speak to the attendees.
His statements has attracted a lot of speculations from Netizens on whether the president is starting to change his tune .
