Three suspected kidnappers were on Friday afternoon arrested in Makenji area of Kandara, Murang’a County.
This came only hours after they abducted a 35-year-old woman in Toll estate of Juja sub-county.
The three are presently being held at the Juja Police Station while the rescued woman is receiving treatment at a nearby hospital.
Juja DCIO Richard Mwaura, confirming the incident, said they’re presently tracing two other male victims who the suspects had earlier on, prior to their arrest, reportedly thrown out of the moving vehicle.
According to the officer they got wind of a morning kidnapping, where its is said a lady had been kidnapped and driven towards Thika.
Detectives who swang into action followed the said vehicle and kilometres into the chase they managed to net these rogue criminals.
After the dramatic arrest, it has emerged that the rogue killers had 6 mobile phones and a sharp bloody kitchen knife they were using to commit their crimes.
This is not the first time such an incident has been witnessed where people who boarded private cars ended up being kidnapped with some even dead.
Police have however been working round the clock to ensure that kenyans get adequate security across the country.
Many should be warned of getting lifts from these private cars as many now masquerade as good samaritans only for them to turn out to be thugs
