Deputy President William Ruto has been very keen on succeeding President Uhuru Kenyatta. Ruto has been holding various rallies in the country to popularise his presidential bid ahead of next year’s general elections.
Throughout this week, the second in command has been in the central region where he continued championing the United Democratic Alliance popularity. UDA is a new party believed he will be using in his presidential bid after falling out with President Uhuru Kenyatta after the March 2018 handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga.
William Ruto has also campaigned for his bottom-up economic development model which he said is the only way of raising the small and medium Enterprise entrepreneurs in the country.
The deputy president who has not been accompanied by the county bosses in most of his campaigns has revealed why the governors have been avoiding him. According to William Ruto, many governors are supporting him and people will be shocked by the number of governor’s supporting him.
Ruto said that all governors have agreed to support him when it gets to next year people will be shocked by the number of governor’s supporting him, the only reason why they have not joined is that they have been told if they join today they will be arrested tomorrow.
