Kenya Film Classification Boss Ezekiel Mutua has dismissed reports that he was fired as CEO of KFCB by CS Joe Mucheru.
On Twitter, Mutua called on Kenyans to ignore allegations on social media that he had been removed from KFCB. He described the reports as “dangerous” and said that in his view he was still in charge of KFCB.
“I paid close attention to the reports on social media that I had been fired as CEO of KFCB. PLEASE DON’T KNOW such bad rumours. I do not know such a development and there will be no real grain in it as there is no vacancy in the office of CEO KFCB ” said Ezekiel Mutua in a tweet.
Mutua’s statement comes just hours after Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo Jnr posted a message on Twitter announcing Mutua’s dismissal.
“Ezekiel Mutua was illegally removed by CS Mucheru as CEO after being officially appointed by the Board. The rules are just suggestions for this program” read a tweet from Mutua.
